Weltmeisterliche Gleichberechtigung im Skimuseum
Noch bis April ist die Sonderausstellung “Gleichberechtigt? Island!” im Slazburger Landesskimuseum Werfenweng zu sehen. Die Themen Sport, Natur und Gleichberechtigung dienen als Eckpunkte der gelungenen Multimedia-Ausstellung.
Am Mittwoch fand bei bestem Wetter die feierliche Einweihung der Sonderausstellung, unterstützt vom Volkskultur- und Frauenreferat des Landes Salzburg, im Landeskimuseum Werfenweng statt. Im Hof des Museums fanden sich an die 200 Besucher ein, um dabei zu sein als Museumsobmann Hans Müller und Kurator Peter Radacher Aline Bock vorstellten. Aline ist Freeride Weltmeisterin, Filmproduzentin und entwickelte gemeinsam mit Peter die Ausstellung „Gleichberechtigt? Island!“.
Aufbauend auf dem preisgekrönten Film „a land shaped by women“ wird die Reise von Aline mit Kollegin Anne-Flore Marxer mit Surfboard und Snowboard durch das wunderschöne Island erzählt. Bei ihren Recherchen sprechen sie mit starken Frauen, die als Beispiel dienen, wie Island zur Nummer 1 im Gleichberechtigungsranking des Weltwirtschaftsforums wurde. Im nächsten Schritt behandelt die Ausstellung die Situation in Österreich und unseren Nachbarländern mit provokanten Fragen und Fakten, die bei vielen Besuchern einen Aha-Effekt auslösen.
Darüber hinaus wurden die langjährigen Helfer der Landeskimuseums Wolfgang Popp, Claudia Müller und als Überraschung Obmann Hans Müller von Dr. Andrea Dillinger, Obfrau des Landesverbandes Salzburger Museen und Sammlungen, für ihr ehrenamtliches Engagement ausgezeichnet.
Der Chor Aufwind sorgte für den musikalischen Rahmen – Tombola, Kinderprogramm und Kulinarik rundeten einen gelungenen Abend ab.
Als nächstes Highlight geht das Skimuseum im Rahmen der „langen Nacht der Museen“ am 05.Oktober in die Stadt Salzburg. Die Festivalversion des Films „a land shaped by women“ wird in „Das Kino“ gezeigt und Aline Bock wird wieder persönlich vor Ort sein, um Fragen zur Ausstellung und zum Film zu beantworten.

The Story
OK, it’s the most famous glacier in the world. You can’t expect solitude here; every fifteen minutes a busload of tourists is released in the direction of the viewing platforms. And yet the sight of the Perito Moreno Glacier in Patagonia with its 4-km wide and 60 m high escarpment has something touching, something incomprehensible about it. It is a natural spectacle that takes your breath away and that instinctively describes the relationship between man and nature. Humility and tranquil joy of existence seizes every viewer.
The Photographer
Ralf Gantzhorn was born in 1964, holds a M.S. in Geology – and has even worked as a geologist (as an independent consultant in the contamination sector). He has been climbing since 1983 and working as a photographer since 1985. As a northern German, he is always torn between the far too distant mountains and the fresh sea air, but he’s found a compromise in Scandinavia, Scotland and Patagonia (where he has now spent over three years). He enjoys organizing trips in areas where unfamiliar vistas – which haven’t already been photographed 1000 times – lure from every corner. He often experiences his images as far too static, but then is pleased with the abundance of triangles in the structure and the fantastic light.

The Story
The picture was taken on the summit of Marmolada after an ascent of the Vinatzer/Messner on the south wall. We didn’t reach the summit until 10:00 p.m. so we bivouacke (planned) there. We woke up to this riot of color …
