PROTECT OUR WINTERS presents “Climate Lines” (Chpt. 1)
We wanted to bring together athletes and scientists around their shared commitment to climate change at Protect Our Winters. This meeting was the opportunity to get them out of their usual practice of the mountain to make them re-discover their playing field with a scientific and climate-related point of view.
For this first episode we went to meet Delphine Six, a Glaciologist at the Laboratoire de Glaciologie et Géophysique de l’Environnement, to discover the St Sorlin glacier in the Grandes Rousses range, to participate in his study and climb the Pic de l´Etendard (3464m). The result represents two days of an adventure before all human, at the heart of our playgrounds that are the Alps and closest to the issue of global warming.
A first step of a long way through the climate and its direct testimonies in the Alps. But especially a beautiful adventure in the mountains, as we love them!
