As a longtime freeskier and climber my favorite habitat are the mountains. There’s no better feeling for me than being surrounded by alpine nature. I started making and directing movies as a child, when my father give me his old analog film camera back in 1999 – from that point on my love for moving pictures on snowy landscapes started. 13 years ago I found my passion in making ski films. A small film sector in which you have all the freedom and space to be creative as well as to move the boundaries of the feasible.

Nachdem Dominik Hartmann und Konsorten schon im Februar im Kaukasus zum Filmen waren und er den gewaltigen Elbrus aus der Nähe sah, stand für ihn fest im Frühsommer noch einmal dort hin zu reisen, wo die Berge in Europa am weitesten in den Himmel ragen. Marinus und ich waren natürlich dabei.
